Book: The Tell-Tale Heart
Book cover design of Edgar Allen Poe's short story "The Tell-Tale Heart." This story is narrated by a paranoid caretaker who fears the old man they're nursing. The narrator in the story isn’t described by any pronouns and therefore, I depicted them as a woman. She hides behind the end of a hall leading to the old man’s room, holding a lantern that signifies her enlightenment as throughout the story the narrator tries to convince us of their sanity.
