I created this editorial collage for an article I found explaining how meat alternatives aren’t as healthy as they seem to be. In recent trends, charcuterie boards have become popular especially when portraying a mix of a comfy night indoors while being classy, which often is associated with healthy living. However, I didn’t fully agree with the article since it didn’t consider people with dietary restrictions, and the idea of ‘mindful living’ on social media is mistakenly depicted as easily attainable. I used saturated colors to emphasize the fakeness of the meat but also as a metaphor to show people’s exaggeration of the topic. I took the typography from many different media sources that represent a specific genre of a glamourized healthy lifestyle born from money.
